Obverse description Central vignette illustrates the great fire of Neustadt in Holstein during the night of 28 to 29 September 1817, rendered in a detailed woodcut-style scene with tall-masted sailing vessels at the harbour quay and townspeople amid billowing flames and smoke engulfing the waterfront buildings. The denomination "75" appears in large golden numerals flanked by dark vertical panels on either side, with the heading "Gutschein von Neustadt i. Holstein" printed in Gothic blackletter across the top. Below the vignette, the validity inscription and two facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister and Stadtverordnetenvorsteher appear over their respective titles.
