| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into two green rectangular panels set within a red zigzag decorative border: the left panel carries the large denomination numeral '10' above the abbreviation 'PF' in bold letterpress, while the right panel bears the rearing white horse of Brunswick — the traditional heraldic symbol of the state — rendered in a woodcut-style vignette. The title 'Braunschweiger Notgeld' is printed in Gothic blackletter script across the top, and the issuer's name 'Braunschweigische Staatsbank' appears in matching blackletter at the foot, below a two-line acceptance and expiry notice in italic script, with a manuscript signature at lower right. |
