VIJFTIG POND.
De Regeering der Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek belooft aan houder
dezes te betalen VIJFTIG POND Sterling, volgens de bepalingen
van Wet 1, 1900, waarin artt. 2 en 3 op de achterzijde van
deze noot zijn afgedrukt.
Deze Noot is gewaarborgd door alle Vaste Eigendommen van den Staat,
zooals bepaald in Wet No.1, 1900.

| Reverse lettering | Art. 2. - Deze noten zullen een
gedwegen koers hebben totdat zij afgelost zullen worden; de
aflossing zal geschieden bij wijze van uitloting, de bijzonderheden
waarvan later zullen worden bepaald en zal beginnen op 1 Juni 1901,
wanneer een bedrag van een honderd duizend pond sterling zal worden
afgelost, en zoo voorts zal iedere volgende 1ste Juni een bedrag
van een honderd duizend ponden sterling worden afgelost, totdat het
geheele bedrag zal zijn afgelost. Zoodra eene noot uitgeloot en
afgelost is, zal ze door den Thesaurier-Generaal en
Auditeur-Generaal in tegenwoordigheid van twee personen, door de
Regeering benoemd, worden vernietigd.
Art 3. - Deze noten zullen een rentekoers hebben van zes percent
per annum, betaalbaar aan den houder in klinkende munt, iedere 1ste
Juni voor het afgeloopen jaar op het kantoor van den
Thesaurier-Generaal of een per proclamatie aangewezen bank of
banken. (Translation: Art 2. - These notes will have a steady rate until they are relieved; the redemption will be made by drawing lots, the details of which will be determined later, and will commence on the 1st of June, 1901, when the sum of one hundred thousand pounds sterling will be redeemed, and so on each succeeding 1st of June, the sum of one hundred one thousand pounds sterling will be repaid until the entire amount has been repaid. As soon as a note has been drawn and redeemed, it will be destroyed by the Treasurer General and Auditor General in the presence of two persons appointed by the Government. Art 3. - These notes will bear an interest rate of six percent per annum, payable to the holder in hard coin every 1 June for the past year at the office of the Treasurer General or a bank or banks designated by proclamation.) |
