The mosque, commissioned between 1830 and 1848 by Muhammad Ali Pasha in memory of his son Tusun Pasha, is set against a guilloche underprint in muted tones. Arabic inscriptions and the denomination appear alongside the Central Bank of Egypt title. |

| 背面描述 | Left side carries an intaglio relief reproduction of Ramses II at the Battle of Kadesh, shown charging in a war chariot with the reins tied about his waist to free both hands for combat, as depicted in the Abu Simbel temple carvings. The lower and right portions of the note bear a frieze derived from the Chapel of Sesostris I illustrating the pharaoh's coronation ceremony. Multicolour guilloche underprint frames the ancient Egyptian imagery throughout. |
