| 表面の説明 | Central vignette presents the Muhammad Ali Mosque (Alabaster Mosque) situated within the Citadel of Cairo, rendered in fine intaglio line work with its distinctive Ottoman silhouette, twin minarets, and large central dome. The mosque, commissioned between 1830 and 1848 by Muhammad Ali Pasha in memory of his son Tusun Pasha, is set against a guilloche underprint in muted tones. Arabic inscriptions and the denomination appear alongside the Central Bank of Egypt title. |

The lower and right portions of the note bear a frieze derived from the Chapel of Sesostris I illustrating the pharaoh's coronation ceremony. Multicolour guilloche underprint frames the ancient Egyptian imagery throughout. |
