This is not a genuine Reichsbank issue — it is a propaganda forgery produced by Polish nationalists during the Upper Silesia plebiscite campaign of 1921. The authentic 1000 Mark note of this type was printed by the Reichsdruckerei in Berlin, and the propaganda version closely copies that design but carries altered text urging Silesians to vote for Poland in the March 1921 referendum over the region's contested partition.
Pick lists it within the regular Reichsbank series, which has caused persistent cataloging confusion. The "forgery" is the collectible here, not the genuine note it mimics.
