| Opmerkingen |
The Banco Nacional Ultramarino connection to Macau ran from the colonial period well into the handover era and beyond — the BNU retains its note-issuing role in the territory to this day, one of only two banks authorized to do so alongside the Bank of China. This 10 Patacas commemorative, issued for the Year of the Rooster, is part of a long-running lunar new year series that the BNU has produced annually as collectibles rather than general circulation instruments.
The "Printed: 30.04.1945" field in the source data is almost certainly a cataloging error or data artifact — Giesecke & Devrient, Munich printed this 2017 issue, and the April 1945 date is irreconcilable with that attribution.
