| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is printed in black on plain cream paper, entirely typographic in composition with no illustrative vignette. The denomination 'Zehn Heller' is set in large bold Gothic type at the centre top, followed by the issuer title 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Weilbach' in a slightly smaller weight, and below a centred explanatory text in Roman type citing the municipal council resolution of 2 May 1920 as the legal basis for the issue of these emergency notes. |

Weilbach is a small municipality in Upper Austria, and this 1920 Heller note belongs to the vast wave of Austrian Notgeld produced after the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy left local communities facing acute small-change shortages. The central government could not supply enough coin, so thousands of municipalities printed their own emergency fractions — legally tolerated rather than formally authorized.
The dual signatures here are typical of how these communities administered their own paper: the Bürgermeister Franz Hörl as principal authority, countersigned by his deputy Schachinger. Both names are otherwise unrecorded outside local administrative history.
