The upper register carries the denomination numeral '10' in square corner panels flanking two decorative star-burst vignettes, with a four-line dialect verse in Gothic blackletter script reading ''s hart Geld verschwunden, / 's kloa Geld is goar, / 's Papier muaß uns retten, / Dös is ja alls woar.' The lower register bears the full issuer title 'Gutschein der Marktgemeinde Riedau.' in bold Gothic type within a ruled frame, followed by the redemption obligation text citing the municipal council resolution of 21 March 1920 and the validity period of 1 to 31 December 1920, countersigned in print by the mayor Hans Schender. An anti-counterfeiting warning runs along the bottom margin. |
