The denomination 'UN FRANC' appears in large bold type at centre, with the date '1916' enclosed in a ruled rectangle below. Two ornate guilloche medallions flank the central text, the left inscribed 'Émission approuvée par l'Administration Supérieure' and the right 'Émission faite sous la garantie de la Ville et de la Chambre de Commerce'. | Opis rewersu | Plain pale paper reverse printed entirely in black letterpress with four numbered articles setting out the conditions of issue and redemption of the divisionary bons, as authorised by the deliberation of the Municipal Council and the Chambre de Commerce of 17 August 1914. The text is arranged in justified paragraphs with article headings in small capitals. A stamp impression reading 'CAEN' is visible at lower centre. |
| Legenda rewersu | ART. 4. — La Banque de France n'échangera pas pour une somme moindre de 20 francs. ART. 5. — En attendant la liquidation définitive des Bons, tout porteur de ces Bons pourra en exiger le remboursement à vue, lorsqu'il en présentera pour au moins Cent francs. Le remboursement à vue sera également exigible lorsque le porteur en présentera pour une somme inférieure à Cent francs, à condition de compléter la différence en Billets de la Banque de France ou en numéraire. ART. 6. — Le Conseil Municipal et la Chambre de Commerce détermineront l'époque de la liquidation de l'émission des Bons divisionnaires et leur remboursement définitif. ART. 7. — La contre-valeur des Bons divisionnaires non présentés à l'échange dans les trois mois qui suivront la date de l'arrêté de liquidation sera déposée à la Caisse Municipale. La Caisse Municipale sera tenue au remboursement de ces Bons pendant une année encore. Passé ce délai, les porteurs seront déchus de tous leurs droits.
