| Additional information |
Palau has operated a prolific commemorative program since the late 1990s, licensing pop-culture and automotive subjects almost entirely for the collector market — none of these coins circulate domestically. The Z06 designation on this issue refers to the C6-generation Corvette introduced for 2006, which used a dry-sump 7.0-liter LS7 engine producing 505 horsepower, at the time the most powerful naturally aspirated engine General Motors had ever put in a production car.
