| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field contains a multi-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in horizontal lines within a dotted inner circle, bearing the Shahada (profession of faith): 'There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner.' The mint formula in the lower margin records the place and date of striking. A marginal legend in cursive Kufic script runs along the outer border, separated from the central inscription by a dotted annulus. The flan is irregular and slightly concave, typical of Buyid hammered silver dirhams of the late 4th century AH. |

A marginal legend running along the outer border bears the Quranic verse of the mission of the Prophet (Quran 9:33), separated from the central area by a dotted annulus. The flan is irregularly shaped with uneven edges, consistent with hand-hammered Buyid silver coinage of the period. |
