The Bungay piece is attributed to a local tradesman issue rather than a single identified merchant, making it more civic in character than most Suffolk tokens of the period. Dalton & Hamer's numbering places it firmly within the documented Suffolk series, and Atkins' earlier cataloguing aligns — a rare consistency between the two standard references that occasionally diverge on Suffolk attributions.
