Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, rendered in archaic Greek style with bold, slightly crude workmanship characteristic of provincial Arcadian minting. The facial features are summarily but expressively rendered, with visible locks of hair falling below the helmet cheekpiece. The flan is irregular and somewhat broad for the denomination, with the design centered within the available field.
