Two monograms appear in the lower field, one to the left and one to the right of the deity's feet, serving as magistrate or mint-control marks. The ethnic legend ΔΙΟΝΥΣΟΥ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΜΑΡΩΝΙΤΩΝ encircles the design, identifying the coin as issued in honor of Dionysos Soter by the Maronites.
