| Описание аверса | Central field occupied by a quartered heraldic shield surmounted by a crown, displaying in the first and fourth quarters the fleurs-de-lis of France and in the second and third quarters the dolphins of Dauphiné. The shield is set within a cusped or pointed arch reminiscent of Gothic architectural framing. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the composition, reading LVDOVICVS FRACORV RE P, identifying the issuer as Louis, King of France and Dauphin. The overall style is characteristic of late-medieval French hammered billon coinage. |

| Описание реверса | A bold cross pattée divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing heraldic charges: the upper quarters display alternating fleurs-de-lis and dolphins, emblems of France and the Dauphiné respectively, while the lower quarters continue this arrangement. The arms of the cross terminate near the inner circle, beyond which a beaded or rope border frames the surrounding legend. The circular inscription in uncial Latin characters reads SIT NOMEN DNI BENEDICTV, a devotional phrase meaning 'Blessed be the name of the Lord,' commonly employed on French royal billon issues of the period. The hammered execution results in a slightly irregular flan, typical of coins of this denomination and era. |
