| Beschrijving voorzijde | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in the Athenian style. The goddess wears a round earring and a crested Attic helmet, the bowl of which is decorated with three olive leaves and a spiral palmette. The portrait follows the classical Athenian prototype closely, reflecting the widespread imitation of Attic coinage throughout the Eastern Mediterranean during the late fifth and fourth centuries BC. |
