| 背面描述 | Zoroastrian fire altar at centre, flanked by two attendant figures standing facing inward in the manner of the Sasanian prototype. The altar is rendered in a schematic, debased style with a stepped base and a flame-like projection at the top. Each attendant wears a diadem or tiara and holds a staff or sword, their garments summarily indicated by parallel vertical striations. Degenerate Pahlavi and Bactrian legends appear in the field to either side of the altar, partially blundered and only partially legible, including the mint name ΒΑΧΛΟ (Balkh) in Bactrian script along the right margin. |

These imitations proliferated in the wake of Peroz I's catastrophic defeat and death at the hands of the Hephthalites in 484 AD — a battle so decisive that the Sasanian empire was forced into tributary payments for decades afterward. The Hephthalites, now holding Sasanian monetary prestige as political currency of their own, produced unofficial coinage modeled on Peroz's drachms across a span of several generations, with the four-dot variant distinguished within Göbl's classification as a specific die grouping rather than a mere stylistic accident.
