| Beschrijving voorzijde | Degraded bust of the Sasanian king Peroz I facing right, rendered in a barbarous imitative style characteristic of Hephthalite coinage. The effigy retains the general outline of the royal crown with a crest or flame finial at the apex, though the facial features and headdress details are schematically rendered and partially blundered. Four pellets are distributed in the field around the bust, serving as the diagnostic distinguishing marks of this emission type. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself set within a plain outer border, consistent with the Sasanian prototypes these imitations sought to reproduce. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zoroastrian fire altar at centre, flanked by two attendant figures standing facing inward in the manner of the Sasanian prototype. The altar is rendered in a schematic, debased style with a stepped base and a flame-like projection at the top. Each attendant wears a diadem or tiara and holds a staff or sword, their garments summarily indicated by parallel vertical striations. Degenerate Pahlavi and Bactrian legends appear in the field to either side of the altar, partially blundered and only partially legible, including the mint name ΒΑΧΛΟ (Balkh) in Bactrian script along the right margin. |

These imitations proliferated in the wake of Peroz I's catastrophic defeat and death at the hands of the Hephthalites in 484 AD — a battle so decisive that the Sasanian empire was forced into tributary payments for decades afterward. The Hephthalites, now holding Sasanian monetary prestige as political currency of their own, produced unofficial coinage modeled on Peroz's drachms across a span of several generations, with the four-dot variant distinguished within Göbl's classification as a specific die grouping rather than a mere stylistic accident.
