| Opis awersu | Hammered silver flan of irregular round shape bearing a prominent tamgha countermark applied on behalf of Kaidu bin Kashin, consisting of a circular dotted border enclosing a stylised tribal symbol in the central field. Arabic legends are partially visible in the surrounding field, struck in a bold if somewhat worn manner characteristic of Chagatai Khanate coinage of the late 13th century. The surface shows typical die wear and flan irregularities consistent with the hand-struck production methods of the period. The countermark is boldly impressed and partially overlaps the underlying coin legends. |
