Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena in right profile, rendered in fine Hellenistic style. The goddess wears a crested Attic helmet adorned with a prominent eight-pointed star on the bowl, a characteristic civic badge of Pergamon. Her hair falls in a braided plait behind the neck, and the cheekpiece of the helmet frames her idealized facial features. The portrait is boldly modelled in high relief against a smooth field.

Reverse description An owl, the sacred bird of Athena, stands facing with wings spread and head turned slightly, perched upon a palm frond. The frond is rendered with stylized curved branches beneath the bird. The ethnic legend ΑΘΗΝΑΣ appears in the upper field, and ΝΙΚΗΦΟΡΟΥ is inscribed in the lower field, identifying the deity as Athena Nikephoros, the victory-bearing patroness of Pergamon. The design closely mirrors the Athenian owl type but is distinctly Pergamene in its epigraphic and iconographic details.
