| Описание аверса | Severely stylised and disintegrated head of Apollo facing right, rendered in a highly abstracted late Celtic manner. The wreath, a vestigial attribute of the Apollo prototype, is suggested by a loose arrangement of pellets, a single spike, and crescent devices distributed across the field. All detail is extremely crude, reflecting the advanced degeneration of the original Gallo-Belgic prototype through successive copying. The flan is irregular and the overall execution is characteristic of the cast bronze coinage of the Durotriges. |

The design represents the extreme terminal degeneration of the classical horse motif common to British Iron Age coinage, here barely recognisable as a zoomorphic figure. The field is otherwise plain, and the flan edges are notably irregular, consistent with the cast production technique of the Durotrigan series. |
