The Alchon Huns displaced the Kidarites across Gandhara and the Punjab in the late fifth century, establishing a series of rulers whose coins remain frustratingly difficult to attribute with confidence. Bhaloka and Triloka are proposed as distinct rulers by some scholars, while others treat the associated coin types as overlapping emissions from a single reign or interregnum. Göbl's classification system for post-Kushan Hunnic issues has been revised repeatedly since publication, and EM 113 sits in one of the more contested attribution zones of that sequence.
