The legend LENTVLVS is inscribed in the lower field and SPINT below, abbreviating the name of Publius Cornelius Lentulus Spinther, the moneyer responsible for the issue. The composition is spare and boldly conceived, consistent with the military mint coinage struck in the eastern provinces during the Liberators' campaign.
