| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, portrayed nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the heroic imperial manner characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The effigy displays strong portraiture typical of Trajanic issues, with the laureate wreath clearly articulated across the brow. To the left stands Isis Pharia facing left, her billowing sail-like garment a hallmark attribute in Alexandrian maritime imagery. To the right stands Demeter facing left, holding a torch and a cornucopia, emphasizing the city's role as a centre of both commerce and divine worship. The regnal year date appears in the field. |
