The surrounding field carries the Greek imperial titulature legend distributed around the bust. The flan is irregular and somewhat broad, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze fabric of the period. |

Sarapis is depicted seated facing, with his head turned to the left and holding a long sceptre, his enthroned figure dominating the deck of the vessel. To the left stands Isis Pharia facing left, her billowing sail-like garment a hallmark attribute in Alexandrian maritime imagery. To the right stands Demeter facing left, holding a torch and a cornucopia, emphasizing the city's role as a centre of both commerce and divine worship. The regnal year date appears in the field. |
