| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, portrayed nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the heroic imperial manner characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The effigy displays strong portraiture typical of Trajanic issues, with the laureate wreath clearly articulated across the brow. The surrounding field carries the Greek imperial titulature legend distributed around the bust. The flan is irregular and somewhat broad, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze fabric of the period. |

| Reverse description | A galley with oars moves to the left, serving as the central compositional element of this elaborate reverse type associated with Alexandrian religious iconography. Sarapis is depicted seated facing, with his head turned to the left and holding a long sceptre, his enthroned figure dominating the deck of the vessel. To the left stands Isis Pharia facing left, her billowing sail-like garment a hallmark attribute in Alexandrian maritime imagery. To the right stands Demeter facing left, holding a torch and a cornucopia, emphasizing the city's role as a centre of both commerce and divine worship. The regnal year date appears in the field. |
