Deep blue intaglio note centred on the large denomination numeral '50' in stylised script above the legend 'Fünfzig Kronen', flanked by two allegorical female figures in classical poses — a seated figure with a sickle to the left and a second resting at a writing desk to the right — with the Austro-Hungarian imperial double-headed eagle vignette at top centre and fine guilloche underprint throughout. The German-language text panel bears the Oesterreichisch-ungarische Bank's promise to pay in Vienna and Budapest, dated Wien, 2. Jänner 1902, with three facsimile signatures of the Generalrat, Gouverneur, and Generalsekretär below. A circular 'TIMBRU SPECIAL ROMANIA' overprint stamp at lower centre was applied by Romanian authorities to validate the note for circulation in Bukovina. |

The central panel carries the Hungarian-language promise to pay in bold typography, with 'ÖTVEN KORONA' as the principal denomination inscription and the date 'Bécs, 1902. január 2.' below. Three facsimile signatures of the főtanácsos, kormányzó, and vezértitkár appear at the foot of the panel, with the anti-counterfeiting warning legend along the lower border. |
