| Reverse description | The reverse features a central Arabic calligraphic inscription arranged in three registers within a plain field. The upper register bears the regnal year in Eastern Arabic numerals (٢٩), the middle register carries the mint name in Arabic script (ضرب في مصر, meaning 'struck in Egypt'), and the lower register displays the Hijri accession year (١٢٢٣). The legends are boldly struck in raised relief, typical of Cairo Mint production of this period. The KM#168.2 variety is distinguished by a larger tughra and legend compared to KM#168.1. |
