| Описание аверса | The central field bears the full coat of arms of Barbados, depicting a shield charged with a bearded fig tree flanked by two Pride of Barbados flowers, supported to the left by a dolphin (fish) and to the right by a pelican. Above the shield rises a helmet surmounted by a mailed arm grasping two crossed pieces of sugarcane. A flowing ribbon below the shield bears the national motto in two sections reading PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The date of issue is divided to either side of the supporters, with a trident mint mark appearing beneath each date numeral. The legend BARBADOS curves along the lower periphery, all within a beaded border. |

A low keeper's building is visible at the base of the lighthouse. The engraver's initials PN appear discreetly in the lower right field near the base of the tower. The denomination legend FIVE CENTS curves along the lower periphery within a beaded border. |
