The issuer name 'Residenzflecken Neuhaus i.W.' is set in bold Fraktur lettering across the upper portion, below which the denomination 'Drei Mark' appears in large ornate script. A central vignette presents a coloured panoramic townscape flanked on either side by large numeral '3' tablets on dark grounds; below the vignette a red banner bears the inscription 'BISCHÖFL.
