| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in a dark border with red and black rules framing the entire note, with validity and redemption conditions running vertically along both lateral margins in Gothic script. The issuer name 'Residenzflecken Neuhaus i.W.' is set in bold Fraktur lettering across the upper portion, below which the denomination 'Drei Mark' appears in large ornate script. A central vignette presents a coloured panoramic townscape flanked on either side by large numeral '3' tablets on dark grounds; below the vignette a red banner bears the inscription 'BISCHÖFL.
