| Descripción del anverso | Facing bust of Emperor Justinian I occupying the central field, depicted helmeted and cuirassed in the Byzantine imperial military tradition, with a diadem or crown visible above the brow. The emperor's effigy is rendered frontally in the late antique style, with visible paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder. A globus cruciger or similar imperial attribute appears to be held in the right hand, reflecting the emperor's role as Christian sovereign. The surrounding circular legend D N IVSTINIANVS P P AVG runs along the periphery, partially obscured by wear. The flan is irregular and the coin is struck on a broad, somewhat uneven planchet typical of Antiochene workshop production of this period. |

| Descripción del reverso | Central field dominated by the large Greek numeral K (= 20 nummi), rendered in bold relief and flanked on either side by attendant figures or decorative elements consistent with Antiochene mint practice. A prominent cross surmounts the K at the top of the design. The mint signature ºΠ∕ (for Theopolis/Antioch) appears in the lower field or exergue, accompanied by the regnal year inscription ANNO XXII (year 22 of Justinian's reign), though the specific year varies by issue across this series. The reverse legend is distributed around the field, and the entire design is contained within a beaded border on the irregular hammered flan. |
