| 备注 |
Geising is a small town in the Erzgebirge district of Saxony, and this 20 Mark piece is classic Notgeld from the chaotic final weeks of the German Empire. Municipal authorities across Germany scrambled to issue emergency money in late 1918 as the Reichsbank's ability to supply small-denomination notes collapsed under wartime strain and the looming political disintegration.
Cardboard Notgeld of this type was typically produced locally — sometimes by the town printer, sometimes hand-assembled — and authenticated with an official municipal stamp in lieu of any sophisticated security. The stamp is the note.
