Mai 1920 Notgeld zu 10, 20 und 50 h im Gesamtwerte von 30.000 K aus und haftet für die Einlösung derselben mit ihren sämtlichen Besitzungen. Die Gutscheine werden in der Zeit vom 1. bis 31. Lasberg is a small market town in Upper Austria, and this 20 Heller note is a product of the Notgeld wave that swept Austria between 1919 and 1922 — a period when the post-war collapse of the krone and acute coin shortages forced municipalities down to the village level to print their own emergency small change. The Austrian federal government tacitly permitted it rather than solve the underlying problem.
Franz Auer and Josef Prückl signed as local officials, almost certainly the Bürgermeister and a council representative. Their names are the only documentation tying this scrap of paper to any legal authority whatsoever.
