Описание лицевой стороны	The obverse is printed on a yellow-ochre guilloche underprint and carries three vignettes in intaglio: at left, a sailing vessel on open water; at centre, an allegorical female figure seated on a rock with a stringed instrument, a harbour and ships visible in the background; at right, an oval vignette with a deer in a landscape. The denomination numeral '20' appears in large figures on both sides of the central vignette, with the bank title 'BANCO DE MARACAIBO / COMPAÑIA ANÓNIMA' and capital statement at the top. A promise-to-pay legend in Spanish runs below the central vignette, with the date and place of issue on the handwritten line above.

Описание оборотной стороны	The reverse is essentially plain, printed on white cotton paper with only faint ghost impressions of the obverse design visible through the sheet. The handwritten year '1885' appears in manuscript at the centre of the otherwise blank face, consistent with a specimen or unissued note with minimal reverse printing.
