Additional information

The GAZ M20 Pobeda — "Victory" in Russian — entered production in 1946 as the Soviet Union's first postwar passenger car, developed under direct Stalinist pressure to produce a vehicle symbolizing industrial recovery. Niue has long served as an issuing authority for themed collector silver, and this piece falls squarely within a broader wave of automotive-themed issues that flooded the numismatic market in the late 2000s.

The Pobeda remained in production until 1958, with a Polish-licensed variant, the Warszawa, continuing into the 1970s.
