Additional information

The SS100 earned its "Super Sport" designation after George Brough began fitting JAP V-twin engines producing enough power to guarantee — in writing — that every machine would exceed 100 mph before leaving the Nottingham works. T.E. Lawrence owned seven of them and died on his eighth, a 1932 model, in May 1935. The 1932 specification is specifically commemorated here, the last full production year before Lawrence's fatal crash brought the marque an unwanted notoriety.
