| Description de l’avers | The full Ugandan coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring an escutcheon supported by a Uganda kob (antelope) to the left and a grey crowned crane to the right, with a sun rising above the shield and a scroll bearing the national motto at the base. The legend BANK OF UGANDA arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by the date 1998 divided across the lower field on either side of the shield. The denomination 1000 SHILLINGS curves along the lower legend, and the national motto FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY appears on the scroll within the coat of arms.
