The circular legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' runs between the outer beaded border and the inner beaded circle, denoting the token's function as a small-change substitute currency. A single five-pointed star appears at the base of the design, below the inner circle. The composition and layout are characteristic of German Notgeld tokens issued during the period of acute coin shortage following World War I. |
