背面描述 A prominent oak or pine tree divides the field at centre, its trunk flanked by crossed branches or laurel sprigs at the base and a pair of stars at the upper left and right. A circular legend surrounds the entire design. In the lower portion of the reverse, a commemorative inscription references the date of Central American independence, 15 DE SET. 1821, accompanied by the fineness designation 0.900, while the denomination 10 Ps. appears prominently within the field. The design is enclosed within a beaded border consistent with the pattern's milled production.

附加信息

Honduras spent much of the 1860s and early 1870s attempting to establish a credible national coinage, largely dependent on foreign mints and periodic monetary reforms that never quite stabilized. Pattern strikes from this period were typically produced to test designs, compositions, or edge treatments before authorizing full production — most were never approved. KM#Pn18 sits in that limbo: a copper strike with a reeded edge, likely submitted for official review and rejected or simply abandoned as fiscal priorities shifted.

Surviving examples are vanishingly rare, as patterns of this era were struck in minimal quantities and seldom preserved outside official channels.
