The circular legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS arcs around the upper portion of the shield, while the date 1871 appears in the lower exergue. A decorative wreath and crossed elements frame the base of the design, and the entire coin is bordered by a fine beaded rim. |

In the lower portion of the reverse, a commemorative inscription references the date of Central American independence, 15 DE SET. 1821, accompanied by the fineness designation 0.900, while the denomination 10 Ps. appears prominently within the field. The design is enclosed within a beaded border consistent with the pattern's milled production. |
