| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a faithful reproduction of the Ulvsunda gold bracteate, a Viking Age gold disc discovered in the Ulvsunda find of 1945 in the Bromma area. The design features concentric bands of intricate geometric and zoomorphic ornament radiating outward from a central motif rendered in the Migration Period bracteate style. The curved legend GULDBRAKTEATEN arcs along the upper rim, with ULVSUNDAFYND 1945 completing the inscription along the lower rim, flanked by raised dots as separators. The overall composition pays homage to the archaeological heritage of Bromma. |

Issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Stockholm's Bromma Airport, which opened in 1936 and became one of the busiest commercial airports in Scandinavia before Arlanda gradually displaced it. By 1980, Bromma's long-term future was already politically contested — the Swedish government had debated closing it for years, a debate that has never fully resolved.
