The surrounding legend reads 'ROYAUME DU LAOS' in Latin script to the left, with the equivalent Lao script inscription 'ພະຣາຊະອານາຈັກລາວ' to the right, and the date '1952' at the bottom. A small decorative star-shaped ornament appears at the top between the two inscriptions. The engraving, by Lucien Georges Bazor, is executed in a refined relief typical of the Monnaie de Paris. |
