| Opmerkingen |
By 1947, the Central Bank of China was printing notes faster than the economy could absorb them. The 10,000 Yuan denomination — unthinkable a decade earlier — was a direct response to hyperinflation that would ultimately make even this note nearly worthless within months of issue. The Nationalist government's inability to control military expenditure during the civil war against the Communists drove successive waves of emergency high-denomination printing throughout 1945–1948.
The signature pairing of Liang Ying-Fu as 局長 (Director) and Chen Ding-Zhu as 副局長 is specific to this issue and helps date it within the broader P#321 series variants. Note that "副息長" in the catalog data appears to be a transcription error for 副局長.
