| Opis rewersu | The reverse features the quartered arms of Mauritius at center, depicting in the upper-left quarter a sailing ship, in the upper-right three palm trees, in the lower-left a key, and in the lower-right a star above a saltire. The shield is rendered in high relief with crisp detail, the engraver's initials 'K G' appearing to either side at the base of the shield.
