| Opis rewersu | The reverse, also printed in green, carries a central vignette of two heraldic shields — one bearing fleurs-de-lys and vertical stripes, the other bearing rings — flanking a caduceus, all surmounted by laurel sprays and ribbon banners. The denomination numeral '1f' appears in oval cartouches at each corner. Below the central vignette, a five-line letterpress text sets out the guarantee and redemption conditions, specifying that the note must be presented before 30 March 1918 at Banque de France branches in the Aveyron département, with the validity dates 1915–1918 in a cartouche at the foot. |

The Chambre de Commerce de l'Aveyron was one of dozens of French provincial chambers forced into emergency note issue after the outbreak of war in 1914 drained metallic currency from circulation almost overnight. The Banque de France could not meet demand, and small change — the 1 and 2 franc range — effectively vanished from daily commerce. Chambers of commerce, municipalities, and even private associations stepped in under a tacit government tolerance that was never quite formal authorization.
L. Cassan Aîné in Toulouse handled production for several southern French chambers during this period. The JP# reference covering multiple suffix variants (05 through 10, non-consecutively) indicates several distinct date or signature combinations within the same basic design — a common administrative pattern for these wartime issues as signatory officials changed or authorization periods were renewed.
