| Descrizione del rovescio | The Australian Commonwealth coat of arms occupies the centre of the field, comprising a quartered shield bearing the badges of the six states, surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown. The shield is supported on the left by a kangaroo and on the right by an emu, both standing on a grassy mound, with sprigs of wattle flanking the composition. The engraver's initials 'KG' appear discreetly in the field to the right of the emu. The denomination FLORIN arcs across the upper field between two six-pointed stars, while the date and the legend AUSTRALIA are inscribed in two lines along the lower field. A continuous beaded border frames the entire design. |
