Reverse description Central field displays the arms of Sweden — three stacked passant lions guardant arranged vertically within a distinctively wavy-sided shield, this feature being the defining characteristic of Type 2. The shield is rendered in relief with ornate contoured edges. A Latin circumferential legend surrounds the shield, separated by a beaded inner border, with the last two digits of the regnal year incorporated into the legend. The overall composition is typical of Reval civic coinage struck under Swedish royal authority.
