In the upper field, a silhouette of the Maple Leaf Trainer II — the first aircraft designed and manufactured under a woman's direction — is rendered in colour, alongside a reference to her wartime contribution overseeing mass production of the Hawker Hurricane. The legend CANADA ELSIE MACGILL DOLLARS and the artist's initials CW appear within the design. |
